National Community Engagement Programme (CEP) Seminar 2008

The theme for this year’s National Community Engagement Programme (CEP) Seminar 2008 was Together, for a Singapore United .

At the recently held National CEP Seminar 2008, snapshots of CEP activities and programmes were shared. In line with the theme for this year, a theme song for the CEP, titled 'Singapore United', was also launched at the seminar.
The song, composed and sang by members of the Singapore Police Force Band, embodies what CEP is working towards - the hope for a united Singapore where everyone stands together as one, in trying or troubled times.
The CEP originated from the recognition that we need to ensure that we are better equipped to maintain our social cohesion and harmony, should a crisis happen in Singapore. Since the launch of the CEP, there have been many activities and initiatives that were organised to support the CEP in the areas of:
  • Building Awareness and Understanding
  • Developing Capability and Confidence
  • Building Networks of Trust
