ISD Protective Security Division

ISD’s Protective Security provides threat assessments and advice on protective security to Government agencies, overseas missions and sensitive key installations (KINs) so as to better protect their people, information and assets from potential threats such as espionage, terrorism and sabotage.  This involves the identification and assessment of threats, vulnerabilities and risks and the review of security measures and procedures to address these risks.

Protective Security also includes security of information. Unauthorised disclosure or leakage of classified information will impact Singapore’s national interests and national security. ISD sets policy requirements on the protection of classified information for all classified information across whole of Government, taking into account changes in technology and working practices.
