Nudging Improvements in MHA 2018

In this second edition, we document the developments of Behavioural Insights (BI) in MHA, and feature a selection of BI studies.

BI studies are conducted by MHA’s Behavioural Insights Unit (BIU), residing in the Research & Statistics Division and done in partnership with the Home Team Departments and the Behavioural Insights Team Singapore. The publication features the application of BI on various areas of MHA's work, such as nudging earlier payment of fines, increasing compliance to regulations, improving uptake of Home Team programmes, raising volunteers’ capabilities, and increasing engagement with Home Team officers. We conclude with a summary of BIU's insights from applying BI in MHA.
