Patrol your neighbourhood to keep it safe! Alert the Police of suspicious activities or persons, and help spread awareness on crime prevention measures.

Citizens on Patrol (COP) volunteers patrol the neighbourhood, and will alert the Police when they observe anything suspicious and engage the community on crime prevention measures to jointly create a safer and secure living environment for all.
As a COP volunteer, you are kept informed of the latest safety and security advisories so that you can prevent and detect such threats in your neighbourhood.
You will also spread crime prevention awareness in your community by distributing crime prevention pamphlets and offering crime prevention advice to residents during your patrols.

Who is eligible
SPF is looking for volunteers who are passionate and keen to contribute to the safety and security of their community.
You should be:
A Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident
Aged 17 to 80 years old

What you'll do
As a COP member, you will be attached to one of the Neighbourhood Police Centres (NPCs) and be required to serve a minimum of 2 hours of patrol per month.
Your role includes patrolling the neighbourhood in groups, disseminating crime prevention advisories and reporting suspicious persons or crime in progress to the Police.
As you will conduct your patrols within the boundaries of the NPC where you volunteer, you will have the opportunity to serve a large community.
Training
You will undergo 1.5 days of modular training.
To keep abreast of the current operational environment, you will receive training on Basic Crime Prevention to prepare you to carry out your duties independently. The training will take half a day and will include engagement techniques and crime prevention surveys.
You will also receive training in SGSecure and Community Emergency Preparedness.
