The National Crime Prevention Council (NCPC) is a non-profit organisation committed to promoting public awareness of and concern about crime and to propagate the concept of self-help in crime prevention. The Council comprises representatives from the commercial and industrial sectors, as well as from the public sector and the Singapore Police Force (SPF).
You can volunteer with the NCPC to help others gain the knowledge to prevent crime. As a Crime Prevention Ambassador (CPA), you help to share and promote crime prevention messages to your peers and also the wider community.

Who Is eligible
Anyone who is willing to serve the community is welcome. You will need to meet these criteria:
Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident
Physically fit (e.g. able to walk up 3 stories of an HDB block)
Have some free time to help conduct crime prevention talks, exhibitions or road shows
More About this Scheme
What you'll do
A supervisor will be assigned to you for your initial deployments to on-board you.
You'll perform duties such as:
Sharing crime prevention tips with senior citizens at community events
Giving crime prevention talks and exhibitions for children in schools
Training
You will attend a one-day training session, where you will receive up-to-date information on crime trends and preventive measures. You will also learn more about NCPC and what we do.
CPAs will be issued with two T-shirts and an identification pass. Do wear the T-shirts while on duty.
Benefits and Recognition
If you are deployed for events, you will receive vouchers as a form of transport and meal allowance. You will be covered with personal accident insurance while on volunteer duty.
As a Home Team volunteer, you will also enjoy training, opportunities for personal development, as well as awards and recognition for good service. Outstanding CPA awards (a plaque or a certificate) will be presented for good performance.
