Breakdown of outrage of modesty reports by perpetrators’ categories

Question:
Ms Lee Hui Ying: To ask the Coordinating Minister for National Security and Minister for Home Affairs how many reported cases of outrage of modesty in 2025 involved perpetrators who were (i) colleagues or supervisors (ii) teachers (iii) relatives and (iv) friends.
Answer:
Mr K Shanmugam, Coordinating Minister for National Security and Minister for Home Affairs:
1. More than half of the total number of reported cases of outrage of modesty in 2025 involved perpetrators known to the victims.
2. The breakdown of the perpetrators for these cases are as follows (approximate) - 11% were colleagues or supervisors; 2% were teachers; 10% were relatives and 20% were friends of the victims.
