Bringing Forward the Deadline for Installing Speed Limiters in Lighter Lorries

Question:

Mr Louis Ng Kok Kwang: To ask the Minister for Home Affairs whether the Ministry will consider (i) bringing forward the deadline for lighter lorries to be required to have speed limiters and (ii) prioritising lorries used to transport workers when it comes to the installation of speed limiters.

1. Regarding the first question, the Member may refer to Parliamentary Question No 5431 which was addressed during the 5 February 2024 Parliament Sitting.

2. The Traffic Police and Land Transport Authority do not track which lorries are used for transporting workers.
