Enhancement of MINDEF and MHA Group Insurance Scheme

1. The Ministry of Defence (MINDEF) and Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) Group Insurance Scheme will be enhanced from 1 November 2025.

2. Since 2016, MINDEF and MHA have provided Group Term Life (GTL) and Group Personal Injury (GPI)  insurance coverage for Full-Time National Servicemen, eligible Operationally Ready National Servicemen, eligible regulars, and eligible volunteers, in MINDEF/SAF and the Home Team.

3. From 1 November 2025, the coverage under both GTL and GPI will be increased to $350,000 each, from $300,000 today.  These changes will benefit about 500,000 personnel who are covered yearly. Insured individuals who wish to increase their coverage or insure their dependants can purchase additional coverage from the appointed insurance company, Singlife.
