Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) Signing Ceremony between the Home Team Academy and the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, National University of Singapore

1. The Home Team Academy (HTA) and the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, National University of Singapore (LKY School) entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on 11 February 2016.

2. The MOU signifies the shared aspirations of HTA and LKY School to continually educate current and future generations of leaders in the areas of governance and public policy to improve the lives of citizens and contribute to Singapore's future development.

3. The MOU was signed by Mr Teo Tze Fang, Senior Director, Development Programmes and Projects, from HTA, and Mr Donald Low, Associate Dean (Research and Executive Education) from the LKY School.

4. Under the MOU, HTA and LKY School will collaborate in the training of current and future Home Team (HT) Leaders. The partnership will draw on the strengths of the LKY School's extensive knowledge and network in governance and public policy, and the HT's practical know-how in law enforcement, and safety and security. The MOU will also facilitate further exchanges of knowledge and ideas between HTA and LKY School for mutual benefit, and advance our shared interest in raising the standards of leadership and governance in Singapore.

5. LKY School is the only school in Asia to be admitted into the prestigious Global Public Policy Network (GPPN) and have also established extensive partnerships with renowned public policy institutions around the world. Strategic partnerships with renowned institutions and think tanks will enable both parties to share networks and resources, and to co-create knowledge and expertise. This MOU will bring about strong collaboration in the education and training of Home Team Leaders. The conclusion of this MOU marks another forward step by HTA to better equip Home Team leaders to meet current and future challenges.
