Reporting channels for outrage of modesty cases

Ms Lee Hui Ying: To ask the Coordinating Minister for National Security and Minister for Home Affairs what were the main channels of reports, such as through in-person police reports, online police report submissions, or calls to the police hotline, for cases of outrage of modesty in 2025, in view of the increase in the number of cases in the past year.

Mr K Shanmugam, Coordinating Minister for National Security and Minister for Home Affairs:

1. The Police do not track the breakdown of the reporting channels for reported cases of outrage of modesty. There are instances where multiple reports, through different channels, are made for one case of outrage of modesty.

2. The Police will follow-up on all reports of outrage of modesty promptly and thoroughly, regardless of the reporting channel.
