Reviewing Vehicle License Classifications to Account for Higher Unladen Weight of Electric Trucks

Question:

Mr Gabriel Lam: To ask the Coordinating Minister for National Security and Minister for Home Affairs (a) whether the Ministry will review the current vehicle licence classifications to account for the higher unladen weight of electric trucks caused by battery mass; and (b) whether electric vehicles with an unladen weight of up to 3,000kg may be driven under a Class 3 licence instead of a Class 4 licence.
