The Singapore Police Force Scholarship and Ministry of Home Affairs Scholarships Award Ceremony 2026

1. The Singapore Police Force Scholarship and Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) Scholarships Award Ceremony 2026 was held on Tuesday, 18 August 2026. Mr K Shanmugam, Senior Minister, Coordinating Minister for National Security and Minister for Home Affairs, was the Guest-of-Honour.

2. MHA offers five scholarship categories: The Singapore Police Force Scholarship, the Public Service Commission (PSC) Scholarship (Engineering) – Defence and Security, the MHA Uniformed Scholarship, the MHA Civilian Scholarship, and the HTX Scholarship. These scholarships are awarded to outstanding individuals who embody the Home Team’s values of Honour and Unity and are passionate about our mission to keep Singapore safe and secure.

3. The Singapore Police Force Scholarship, one of the most prestigious scholarships awarded by the Public Service Commission, was presented this year to Charlene Tan Rui Xian and Raynen Ngoh Zhe Yu. After completing their studies, they will undergo structured residential training at the Police Training Command, covering police defence tactics, criminal investigation, physical training and leadership development. They will subsequently take on operational and command appointments in Police Divisions as part of their development as future leaders of the Force.

4. MHA Uniformed and Civilian scholars will pursue studies in a range of disciplines at leading universities in Singapore and overseas, with support from MHA for their personal and professional development. Recipients of the PSC Scholarship (Engineering) – Defence and Security and the HTX Scholarship will pursue studies in digital, science and engineering disciplines at leading universities in Singapore and overseas. Their training will equip them to advance science and technology and enhance the Home Team’s operational capabilities.

5. In total, MHA awarded 40 scholarships this year. More information on the scholarship categories and the recipients’ profiles is provided in the Annex.
