Question:
MP Mr Kok Heng Leun: To ask the Minister for Home Affairs in each year since 2009, how many citizen children have been born to (i) PR mothers and (ii) foreign mothers without PR respectively.
Answer:
1. From 2009 to 2015, an average of around 4,600 citizen children were born in Singapore each year to mothers who were Permanent Residents (PRs). For the same period, an average of around 2,200 citizen children were born to foreign mothers who were not PRs.
