Question:
Mr Leon Perera: To ask the Minister for Home Affairs (a) whether the Government collects statistics on the number of children who have been separated from their parent(s) because of the parent(s)’ immigration status; and (b) if so, for each year in the past five years, how many children have been separated from their parent(s) because of the parent(s)’s immigration status.
Answer:
1. The Government does not collect statistics on the number of children separated from their parents due to the latter’s immigration status.
