The Yellow Ribbon Project was launched in 2004 by the former President of the Republic of Singapore Mr S. R. Nathan. It seeks to engage the community in accepting ex-offenders and their families, giving them a second chance at life, and to inspire a ripple effect of concerted community action to support ex-offenders and their families.
The objectives of the Yellow Ribbon Project are to:
Raise Awareness of the need to give second chances to ex-offenders and their families.
Generate Acceptance of ex-offenders and their families in the community.
Inspire community Action to support the rehabilitation and reintegration of ex-offenders back into society.
You can contribute to this cause through community outreach, volunteering at Yellow Ribbon events or imparting your skills to beneficiaries. Your efforts will help encourage a more accepting society and the successful reintegration of ex-offenders.
