
HOME TEAM ACADEMY (HTA): EXCELLENCE IN TRAINING, LEADERSHIP AND INNOVATION
Through cutting-edge training programmes, strategic partnerships and an unwavering commitment to excellence, HTA has further enhanced its role as a centre of innovation and excellence in public safety and security.
1. HTA advanced HT officers’ professional and academic development by partnering with SUSS to secure credit recognition for the Fundamentals of Effective Simulation Training course, bridging workplace learning and formal academic progression.
2. HTA strengthened WOG crisis preparedness by launching the Crisis Management Resources microsite as a centralised learning platform, complemented by the Crisis Preparedness Guidebook featuring practical tools, best practices and real-world case studies.
3. HTA accelerated training innovation by implementing the Sandbox Smart Classroom to pilot emerging training technologies, and organising the first HT Training and Development Community of Practice session to deepen collaboration and knowledge-sharing among HT trainers.
HOME TEAM SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY AGENCY (HTX): CONTINUING TO PUSH NEW FRONTIERS
Force multiplying at its best – from the opening of research and development facilities to meeting the HT’s sustainment needs, HTX had a busy but fruitful year.
1. HTX officially opened the Forensic Innovation and Research for Strategic Transformation (FIRST) Lab, Garage@HTX, Next Generation Infrastructure (NGINE), Human Performance ModeLling and SimulatiOn REsearch Facility (XPLORE) and HT Sustainment Centre.
2. HTX announced that the HT Humanoid Robotics Centre, the world’s first facility dedicated to developing humanoid robots for public safety operations, would be launched in 2026.
3. Over 150 Xponents toiled behind the scenes of General Election 2025, supporting the HT in ensuring that public safety was never compromised.
MINISTRY OF HOME AFFAIRS HEADQUARTERS (MHQ): STRONGER AS ONE HOME TEAM
In 2025, MHQ advanced HT culture, led WOG GE 2025 ops and commemorated SG60 with a series of campaigns that celebrated officers and strengthened public confidence in the HT.
1. MHQ strengthened HT culture through a year-long campaign, featuring collaboration stories, quizzes, the HT care and appreciation movement and social media challenges. The refreshed HT pledge was also launched during Home Team Day 2025.
2. MHQ coordinated the GE 2025 WOG ops to ensure an independent and secure election. This involved 24/7 monitoring and management of incidents, operations and threats, across the Public Service.
3. To commemorate SG60, MHQ debuted a new video series that celebrates female officers and spotlighted HT trivia on social media. MHQ also partnered with SPH and Mediacorp to showcase HT stories through the Straits Times’ 180th anniversary exhibition, microsite, print, online articles, as well as a Mediacorp micro-drama “Honour and Unity”.
SINGAPORE CIVIL DEFENCE FORCE (SCDF): WORLD-LEADING LIFE SAVING FORCE
SCDF advanced its role as a world-leading lifesaving force through an overseas humanitarian mission, its debut in the National Day Parade Guard of Honour and hosting global engagements showcasing innovation and operational excellence in firefighting, rescue and emergency medical services.
1. For the first time in National Day Parade history, SCDF participated in a Guard of Honour marching contingent, marking its integral role and contribution to Total Defence.
2. After the 28 March 2025 Myanmar earthquake, SCDF deployed the Operation Lionheart contingent for 11 days, conducting search-and-rescue at 26 sites, saving a victim, providing medical aid and distributing relief supplies with local authorities.
3. SCDF and COSEM launched the inaugural Singapore-International Disaster & Emergency Management Expo on 19 November. As Singapore’s first global platform for emergency response and disaster management, the event featured the launch of SCDF’s Transformation Book and Amphibious Firefighting and Rescue Vehicle.
SINGAPORE POLICE FORCE (SPF): SAFEGUARDING EVERY DAY
SPF demonstrated operational excellence while celebrating historic milestones and embracing innovation to enhance policing efficiency.
1. SPF celebrated major anniversaries – the SPF Band’s centennial, 75 years of the Police Security Command, 70 years of the Police K-9 Unit and Police National Service’s golden jubilee.
2. To ensure the smooth conduct of the General Election, SPF officers were on duty from Nomination Day to Polling Day.
3. The roll-out of technological innovations such as GIBSON (an autonomous patrol robot with ride-hailing function) and R-COP (an AI-powered chatbot for report lodging) has enhanced frontline policing and operational efficiency.
4. Three iterations of Exercise Heartbeat were conducted (at Marsiling Mall, the Singapore Sports Hub and Clarke Quay) to test multi-agency response capabilities and enhance preparedness.
