Mr Fadli Fawzi: To ask the Coordinating Minister for National Security and Minister for Home Affairs (a) what is the average number of seconds taken to process travellers at the bus halls of the land checkpoints using (i) QR code clearance and (ii) passport clearance, respectively; (b) what percentage of clearance lanes are QR code clearance only; and (c) how is this percentage determined.

Mr Goh Pei Ming, Minister of State, Ministry of Home Affairs & Ministry of Social and Family Development:
1. On average, QR code clearance and passport clearance at the bus halls of the land checkpoints takes approximately 10 and 13 seconds respectively.
2. All Automated Border Clearance System lanes at the bus halls are enabled for both QR code and passport clearance. The lanes will be designated to offer QR code clearance only, only if there is an operational need.
