2.         The Panglima Gagah Pasukan Polis was conferred on Mr Loh in recognition of his role in building the close cooperation and warm relationship between the Internal Security Department (ISD) and the Malaysian Special Branch (MSB) of the Royal Malaysia Police (RMP). Under the leadership of Mr Loh, who served as Director ISD from 1 September 2010 to 31 March 2016, ISD carried out substantive operational and intelligence cooperation with the MSB.

3.         The Panglima Gagah Pasukan Polis was conferred on Commissioner Hoong in recognition of his strong commitment to upholding regional security and the unwavering support he extended to the RMP. Since his appointment as the Commissioner of Police on 6 January 2015, Commissioner Hoonghas actively fostered closer and stronger relations between the Singapore Police Force (SPF) and the RMP. These collaborations have yielded significant operational benefits for both forces in combating terrorism and transnational crime.

4.         The Panglima Gagah Pasukan Polis is traditionally awarded to high-ranking senior Police officers who are known for their distinguished services to the Police force, in particular, and the country, in general. The Panglima Gagah Pasukan Polis was last conferred on former Commissioner of Police Mr Ng Joo Hee in 2014.
